
Park Renaming in honor of Soul on Friday during Rally

WHAT: Love Park, located in Center City, is one of the most recognizable parks in Philadelphia and will be renamed in honor of the Soul and their run through the Arena Football League playoffs, as Mayor Michael Nutter will rename the park Soul Park for the day.
Along with the renaming of Love Park, Mayor Nutter will be presented with his very own Philadelphia Soul jersey by the players and coaches of the Soul during a City hosted Pep Rally. Soul co-majority owner Craig Spencer and team president Ron Jaworski are also attending and will address the crowd of fans.
The park renaming comes after the Soul's exciting and lopsided win over the Cleveland Gladiators which vaulted them into the ArenaBowl XXII presented by Virgin Mobile. Chris Jackson, Matt D'Orazio, Mike Brown, Coach Bret Munsey and others are looking to gain the support of the Mayor and the entire city of Philadelphia before their Virgin Mobile ArenaBowl XXII appearance in New Orleans, Sunday, July 27, 2008.
