Panthers Announce "City of Albany Night"

ALBANY, GA - When the 2011 League Champion and undefeated Albany Panthers(5-0) hit Phoebe Field Saturday night for another Professional Indoor Football League contest against the Alabama Hammers (2-3), there will be hundreds of City employees on hand for "City of Albany Night".

"City of Albany Night" festivities will include Laura Fink, volunteer with Special Olympics ARPD, performing the National Anthem. The invocation will be delivered by Deputy Terrance Bryant, Albany Police Department. Commissioner Christopher Pike, Ward III, and his son Chris Pike, will perform the Coin Toss. Commissioner Ivey Hines, Ward II, will deliver the Game Ball.

"The City of Albany is happy to partner with the Albany Panthers to build a strong community partnership which enhances the quality of life of all citizens," said Suzanne F. Davis, Director of Albany Recreation & Parks, Civic Center and Auditorium."Through the development of the Youth Indoor Football program and regular community appearances, the Albany Panthers continue to provide support to City of Albany programs and services."
