Panther City Lacrosse Club News Release
Calgary, Alberta - The Panther City Lacrosse Club (6-8) settles the score with the Calgary Roughnecks (7-5) at Scotiabank Saddledome on Saturday, April 9. Faceoff is set for 8:00 p.m. CT on ESPN+ and BSSW.
Panther City enters the rubber match at Calgary as the hottest team in the NLL, winning their past five games. One of the biggest factors in the Club's win streak has been the improved goalkeeping of Nick Damude. Prior to Panther City's last game at Calgary on March 19, Head Coach Tracey Kelusky stressed the importance of keeping opposing teams under 12 goals, and the Panther City defense has done just that in two straight weeks, the first time this season the Club has held an opponent under a dozen goals in back-to-back games.
The switch first flipped on the offensive side of the ball for Panther City, as the team put up 61 goals in the month of March, becoming one of just three teams to put up at least 60 goals in a calendar month.
