Panther City Lacrosse Club's Mathieu Gautier Named NLL Rookie of the Week

FORT WORTH, TX - Panther City Lacrosse Club forward Mathieu Gautier has been named NLL Rookie of the Week, the league announced today. During Week 5 against the Saskatchewan Rush, he recorded one goal and two assists for a total of three points.

Gautier was selected with the ninth overall selection in the 2022 NLL Entry Draft, after a successful 2022 Minto Cup Run with the Edmonton Miners, where he netted 32 points on nine goals and 23 assists. In two games with Panther City so far this season, he has totaled eight points on two goals and six assists. His eight points and six assists rank second in the NLL amongst rookies, trailing only fellow teammate rookie forward Jonathan Donville.
