Panther City Lacrosse Club's Jonathan Donville Named NLL Rookie of the Week

Fort Worth, TX - Panther City Lacrosse Club forward Jonathan Donville has been named the NLL Rookie of the Week, the league announced today.

Against Vancouver in Week 9, Donville turned in a historic rookie performance, as he recorded 12 points (4G/8A), which tied NLL legend Gary Gait for the second-most points scored by a rookie in a single game in league history. This is Donville's third NLL Rookie of the Week honor, as he also took home the award following Weeks 3 and 6. Donville is the only rookie this season to win Rookie of the Week honors multiple times and with his third honor ties the franchise record for most Rookie of the Week awards, as Patrick Dodds was a three-time NLL Rookie of the Week in 2021-22.

For the year, Donville has recorded 35 points (9G/26A), of which ranks him first amongst rookies in points, assists and is second in goals scored. Donville's 26 assists are also tied for seventh most in the NLL. He is the only rookie amongst the top-10 players in assists. His 35 points are also amongst the top-20 in the NLL.

This is the eighth time a Panther City rookie has been named NLL Rookie of the Week under the direction of GM Bob Hamley and Head Coach Tracey Kelusky and through nine weeks of the 2022-23 NLL season, Panther City's 2022 rookie class has been awarded with Rookie of the Week honors four times.
