Panther City Lacrosse Club News Release

The Panther City Lacrosse Club (2-1) visits the Saskatchewan Rush (1-1) for a New Year's Eve tilt in Saskatoon at the Sasktel Centre on Saturday, December 31 at 8:00 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast locally on KTXA21 and streamed on ESPN+. Cody Janzen (PXP), John Fraser (Analyst) and Sabeen Ahmad (Floor Reporter) will be on the call.

Panther City, coming off the holiday break, will look to bounce back following a 12/17 defeat against the Colorado Mammoth. Third-year forward Will Malcom leads the offense as he has recorded 16 points (8 goals/8 assists) and also is tied for the team-high with 20 loose balls. Rookie forward Jonathan Donville leads the club with 10 assists. Panther City has three players (P. Caputo, P. Dodds & J. Donville) who are tied for second on the team with 11 points. Goalie Nick Damude has been strong between the pipes for Panther City with a 8.75 GAA and against Las Vegas on 12/16 allowed a career-low three goals. With that performance, Damude became the fifth goalie in NLL history to allow three or fewer goals in a full regular season game.

Saskatchewan is led by NLL mainstays Robert Church (16 points - 8 goals/8 assists) and Mark Matthews (15 points - 2 goals/13 assists). Mike Messenger (team-high 23 loose balls) and Kyle Rubisch (team-high 6 caused turnovers) control the back end for Saskatchewan in front of newly-signed goalie Alex Buque, who also has a 8.75 GAA in just under 110 minutes of game action.
