
Panther City Lacrosse Club Opens Their 2022-23 Season against the Las Vegas Desert Dogs

Panther City Lacrosse Club News Release
Fort Worth, Texas - The Panther City Lacrosse Club (0-0) will open their 2022-23 season against the Las Vegas Desert Dogs (0-0) on Friday, December 9, 2022 at 7:30 p.m. CT at Dickies Arena. KTXA21 will broadcast the game with Ron Thulin (play-by-play), Dalton Jernigan (Analyst) and Maggie Hale (Floor Reporter) on the call.
Panther City is looking to build off the momentum of their 2021-22 season that saw them win seven games, which are more wins than the previous two expansion clubs combined. Making his debut for Panther City will be 2021 NLL Entry Draft First Overall Selection, Jonathan Donville. Donville looks to guide an offense alongside Panther City's top scoring threats from 2021-22, Patrick Dodds (84 points - 26 goals/58 assists), Will Malcom (81 points - 27 goals/54 assists) and Phil Caputo (33 goals). Defensively, Panther City is led by Matt Hossack (117 LBs & 25 CTO) and Liam Byrnes (137 LBs & 26 CTO).
Las Vegas will play their franchise's inaugural game in Fort Worth, Texas and is led by General Manager/Head Coach Shawn Williams. Williams will look to Rob Hellyer to lead the Desert Dogs offense, as Hellyer has recorded 604 career points (230 goals/374 assists) in his 10 years in the NLL, which were all spent previously with the Toronto Rock. Tor Reinholdt looks to solidify the back door for Vegas after posting 67 loose balls and eight caused turnovers last year for San Diego.
