Panther City Lacrosse Club Acquires Ninth Overall Selection & Jackson Reid

FORT WORTH, TX - The Panther City Lacrosse Club has traded forward Randy Staats to the Halifax Thunderbirds in exchange for the ninth overall selection in the 2022 NLL Draft, a second-round selection in the 2025 NLL Draft and forward Jackson Reid, the team announced today.

Panther City now has the fifth, ninth and 21st selections in the first round of the 2022 NLL Draft, which will take place in Toronto on Saturday, September 10.

In Reid's final season at Ohio State, he tallied 62 points on 47 goals and 15 assists, including two game-winning goals. A Guelph, Ontario native, he started 59 games in college and scored 131 goals.
