Panther City Lacrosse Club Acquires Forward Jake Fox from New York Riptide

Fort Worth, TX - The Panther City Lacrosse Club has acquired right-handed forward Jake Fox from the New York Riptide, the team announced today. In exchange, the club sent defenseman Chad Cummings to New York.

"We'd like to thank Chad for his time with the Panther City Lacrosse Club as he was an instrumental leader for us in our inaugural season," Panther City General Manager Bob Hamley said. "Chad is the consummate professional and we wish him the best as he enters the next phase of his career."

Fox, a third-year forward out of Johns Hopkins University, currently has recorded four points (3G/1A) in three games played this season. Last season, he appeared in 18 games and recorded 34 points (18G/16A) and 47 loose balls. The Ottawa, Ontario native, was originally drafted in the second round (19th overall) of the 2019 NLL Entry Draft.

Cummings, a six-year NLL veteran, was originally acquired via trade from the Calgary Roughnecks on July 30, 2021. He has appeared in 22 games with Panther City and over that time totaled 91 loose balls, 12 caused turnovers and recorded five assists and scored one goal.
