Bellingham Bells News Release
The Bellingham Bells have added 6-foot-9-inch right-hander Tyler Palm of Oakland University. Palm is a native of West Branch, Mich.
Earlier in the season, Palm threw a complete game shutout against Wright State, the top team in the league. Opponents are hitting .239 against Palm, and in 60 innings pitched, he has struck out 34 batters. He has made 11 starts on the season.
During his time at Ogemaw Heights High School, Palm earned four letter awards in baseball, as well as three All-Conference Second-Team honors and All-District selections.
"Tyler is going to be a great addition to our staff," said Vice President of Operations Nick Caples. "Oakland really relies on him to help carry that team, and he has proven that he is capable of that challenge. We are excited for him to bring that toughness and confidence to Bellingham this summer."
The Bells' home opener will be June 7 against the Corvallis Knights, with first pitch at 7:05 p.m.
