Boca Raton, FL. On Wednesday, May 3rd, Palm Beach's newest hometown basketball team, the PALM BEACH IMPERIALS, have agreed to play an Exhibition All-Star Basketball Game against the very talented players currently participating in the winter/spring 2006 Men's Basketball League (MBL) at the Athletic Club of Boca Raton. This special event is presented by Crown Trophy and the Melting Pot of Boca Raton.

The pro players participating in this event comprise former NCAA D-I players from the A-Sun Conference and D-II players from the Sunshine State Conference including players from local area universities and colleges.

Preceding the All-Star Game, which starts at 8pm, will be an OPEN Free Throw Shootout starting at 630pm, immediately followed by an OPEN 3-Point Shootout starting at 7pm. Both events are open to Club Members provided they qualify in the prelims. The MBL League Leaders in both categories automatically advance to the final round.

Lamont Carr, Head Coach and General Manager of the Palm Beach Imperials had this to say regarding the Exhibition All-Star Basketball Game, "I think this is a great community event and a great way for local area basketball players to hoop it against rising professional-level basketball players. It's not everyday an average player gets to play against players of this caliber. I hope the fans that come out for this event have as much fun as these players."

The Palm Beach Imperials are currently owned and operated by the Imperiali Organization (www.imperiali.org). For more information, contact Josh Yager, Director of Marketing, 561 515 6036 or visit www.abalive.com.
