INDIANPOLIS, IN- The Indiana Ice and Key Bank will host the annual "Pack the House for Charity" game on Sunday, February 28th when the Ice take on Team USA at 3 pm from Conseco Fieldhouse.
"Pack the House Night" is in its 16th year of existence and has provided the Ice the opportunity to give back to the communities throughout Central Indiana. The Ice joins forces with local organizations to help them raise money for their cause and each organization receives a portion of all ticket sales for the night generated by their efforts. Since the Ice began play in the USHL in 2004-05, the "Pack the House Night" contest is the most-attended game for Tier 1 Junior Hockey in all of North America each year.
Fans or businesses can help support one of five charities by calling 317-925-4423 and purchasing tickets to the game. Five dollars from each ticket will be donated to the charity of your choice. The charities include the Lupus Foundation of America, Make a Wish, Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St. Vincent, The Villages and the United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
As has been customary throughout the years, the Ice will wear jerseys specially designed by patients at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital at St.Vincent. Throughout the game, fans can bid on their favorite players jerseys in a special "blind bid" auction.
The Sunday showcase will also feature some added attractions for the fans.
The Ice and Reis Nichols Jewelers are pairing up to give away a four day three night trip to Hawaii and a diamond and ruby necklace in the Fire and Ice shootout. Fans can register to participate in the giveaway by visiting either Reis Nichols Jewelers location. In addition, Radio Disney will be on hand with exclusive premier passes to Tim Burton's new film "Alice in Wonderland" starring Johnny Depp.
