
PA Rebellion Fall to the Chicago Bandits in Extra Innings, 7-3

WASHINGTON, PA, June 8, 2015-The Pennsylvania Rebellion fell to the Chicago Bandits on Tuesday, June 9 in an eleven-inning contest. Reliever Emma Johnson suffered the extra innings loss, while Tatum Edwards earned the win for Chicago.
Chicago threatened to take the lead early in the top of the first, but Pennsylvania starter Allyson Fournier worked her way out of the jam. The Rebellion cashed in on pitching mishaps by starter Lacey Waldrop to take a 1-0 advantage after one complete inning.
Pennsylvania extended their advantage in the bottom of the second when second baseman Sarah Prezioso scored on a Maddie O'Brien fielder's choice. First baseman Alisa Goler knocked a sacrifice fly to center field scoring designated player Mandy Ogle later in the at bat to give the Rebellion a 3-0. Goler would lead all Rebellion batters at the plate on the evening, going 2-3 with two RBI.
The Bandits picked up two runs of their own in the top of the third when shortstop Tammy Williams and designated player Natalie Hernandez each hit RBI singles. Chicago tied the game in the top of the fifth with a sacrifice fly from catcher Taylor Edwards that scored Williams.
The score remained tied at three until the eleventh inning when Brenna Moss was walked and was moved to second by Emily Allard's infield single. Danielle Zymkowitz hit a ground ball right back at the pitcher, Johnson and reached on a fielder's choice. Moss scored on a throwing error to third base, putting Chicago ahead 4-3. The Bandits added three more runs in their eleventh-inning at bat to make it 7-3 heading into Pennsylvania's final at bat.
The Rebellion was unable to put together a final comeback, leaving the game to Chicago by a 7-3 final.
