Outlaws unveil vision for new franchise

November 10, 2005 - National Indoor Football League (NIFL) - Osceola Ghostriders News Release

Kissimmee, FL (Nov. 9, 2005) - The Osceola Outlaws, a new NIFL (National Indoor Football League) team based in Kissimmee, officially launched the new franchise during a press conference on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 11 a.m. at Silver Spurs Arena in Osceola Heritage Park. The Outlaws' co-owners, David Doebler and Donald Czech unveiled their vision for the franchise which includes a comprehensive community rollout over the next four months.

"Don and I want the Osceola Outlaws to be the best franchise in the NIFL," said Doebler. "We're deeply committed to making this a family sporting attraction and we're going to need the local fan support to make it a success."

Doebler and Czech have not only committed time, enthusiasm and a clear direction, but they have also committed significant financial backing to the franchise, creating an economic stability that has been welcomed by the Kissimmee and St. Cloud communities.

Doebler and Czech continue to demonstrate their commitment to the success of the Outlaws by hiring top notch management staff with extensive football knowledge and hands on expertise. Future NFL Hall of Famer, Thurman Thomas, was named Director of Football Operations and will be a driving force behind player selections and overall team direction. Local football phoneme and former Head Coach and General Manager of the Kissimmee Kreatures, Marquette Smith, was selected to be the Outlaws' Head Coach.

"It's a thrill to have Thurman and Marquette on our side of the field. They have roots here, they're involved in the local football scene, and they know what they're doing," said Czech.

In addition to the powerhouse duo, the Outlaws' General Manager, Mike Domico, has proven his ability to bring key investors to the table. Domico was one of the original businessmen to bring the NIFL to Florida in 2005, including the Lakeland Thunderbolts and Daytona Beach Hogs, and has already made inroads for the team's official sponsorship. Rec Warehouse has signed on as one of the first major sponsors of the Outlaws.

The Osceola Outlaws will play seven home games in Silver Spurs Arena, starting with the home opener in early March 2006. The complete schedule will be decided upon in mid January 2006.

Doebler and Czech are avid sports fans and are focused on providing a good value sporting event for families in the community. Season tickets can be purchased for a low as $50.

The Outlaws are one of nine new franchises to join the NIFL in 2006.
