Texas Outlaws News Release
The Texas Outlaws today announced that the NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills will serve as their home venue for the 2008/09 PASL-Pro season.
Both the Outlaws and the PASL-Pro are heading into their inaugural seasons. The Outlaws will make their NYTEX debut on November 16 against the Saskatoon Accelerators and wrap up the regular season on March 8 against the Wenatchee Fire. The PASL-Pro regular season consists of 16 games (8 home, 8 away) and is augmented by Arena Open Cup national tournament play and special exhibition games.
"The Texas Outlaws are excited about the partnership with NYTEX Sports Centre and pleased to be calling NYTEX Sports Centre our home," said Eric Danchak, Managing Partner of the Outlaws. "It is one of the premier sports centers in the Dallas /Ft Worth area and a first class organization. "
The NYTEX Sports Centre is a 2,400 seat multi-purpose arena with five public suites and one owner's suite. There are two incredible public skating rinks open for all kinds of activities, including youth hockey organizations, skating programs and public skating. It is home to the Central Hockey League's Texas Brahmas and the Texas Renegades of the Junior A Western States Hockey League.
Prior to re-opening in June 2007, the 8-year-old building stood vacant for several years. NYTEX Sports partners Dr. Salvatore Trazzera, Frank Trazzera, Jim Makens and Knute Anderson each envisioned a dream, and purchased the building.
Hockey is just one feature offered at the NYTEX Sports Centre. The facility is home to the Tejas Volleyball Club and other volleyball house leagues. Tejas Volleyball is a USA Volleyball Club Program in the Northeast Tarrant County area.
In August 2008, ZuRoma Sicilian Kitchen and NYTEX announced their partnership. NYTEX Sports Centre guests will enjoy sports entertainment while being offered an outstanding variety and quality of food options at the newest ZuRoma restaurant location inside the facility.
The Hockey Shop, a hockey pro shop and the official provider of BrahmaWare merchandise, arrived in July 2007 and offers an assortment of equipment and outerwear for all your hockey needs.
"The Texas Outlaws organization and personnel have been working diligently with us at NYTEX Sports in order to make this newest partnership a great success," said Frank Trazzera, President of NYTEX Sports Centre. "We are very excited with the addition of professional soccer to the NYTEX Sports community."
The Texas Outlaws, coached by Kevin Leonard, are a first year team in the new Professional Arena Soccer League. The Outlaws will be playing a 16 game season with 8 home games, which will be played at NYTEX Sports Centre in North Richland Hills, TX.
