OurSports Central Names UFL Players of the Week

Omaha Nighthawks wide receiver Chris Davis, Nighthawks safety Stewart Schweigert and Omaha kicker Jeff Wolfert were named the OurSports Central United Football League Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively, for week three of the UFL season.

Davis grabbed eight receptions for 77 yards in Omaha's 33-30 victory over the Sacramento Mountain Lions. Davis played in the NFL with the Tennessee Titans in 2007 and 2008.

Schweigert finished with six total tackles, one fumble recovery and one interception return for 30 yards, in the Nighthawks victory. Schweigert played in the NFL with the Oakland Raiders from 2004 to 2007, and the Detroit Lions in 2008.

Wolfert connected on 4 our of 5 field goals attempts (54, 56, 42 and 42 yards), and went 3-3 on PAT's. His 42-yard field goal made with no time left on the clock was the gamer winner in Omaha's victory. Wolfert played college football at Missouri and was in training camp with the Cleveland Browns this past preseason.
