OurSports Central Names AFL Players of the Week

San Jose SaberCats wide receiver Cleannord Saintil, San Jose SaberCats defensive back Omarr Smith and San Jose SaberCats kicker A.J. Haglund were named the OurSports Central Arena Football League Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week, respectively, for the Conference Championship week of the AFL season.

Saintil grabbed 11 receptions for 113 yards and five touchdowns in the SaberCats' 81-55 victory over the Grand Rapids Rampage.

Smith contributed three interceptions, two pass breakups and four tackles for San Jose.

Haglund finished 9-10 on extra points, 2-2 on field goals (32 and 28 yards) and added three touchbacks on kickoffs in the SaberCats' victory.

Other players considered for Offensive honors were Philadelphia QB Matt D'Orazio and Philadelphia WR Larry Brackins.

Others considered for Defensive award were San Jose DB Clevan Thomas and Philadelphia DB Eddie Moten.

Other players considered for Special Team honors included Philadelphia's Connor Hughes (10-10 on extra points, one special teams tackle and five touchbacks on kickoffs) and Philadelphia's Mike Brown (three returns for 88 yards, including one returned 57-yards for a touchdown).
