Otters reduce roster

The Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League announced today that they have reduced their roster to 41 players following a second day of on-ice action at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena. 2008 OHL Priority Selections Mitchell Davis (11th round, 203rd overall) and Andrew Fetter (13th round, 243rd overall); 2007 picks Mark Bennett (12th round, 221st overall) and Ben Hogan (11th round, 201st overall) along with Training Camp invites Mike Benedict, Brandon Magee, Patrick Maloney, Pat Martin, Brendan O'Brien, Andy Olsen, Dave Provost, Jason Turcin and Dave Winarski were all reassigned to their home teams.
The Otters 2008 Training Camp continues at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena until Saturday (August 30th). The final three days of the Camp features evening scrimmages on Thursday and Friday (at 6:45 p.m. and 8 p.m.). All sessions are open to the public free of charge. The weeklong camp concludes Saturday night (August 30th) when the Otters host the Niagara IceDogs in a pre-season game at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena starting at 7 p.m.
Ticket for the game available now at the Otters Office, located at 809 French Street, as well as at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena Box Office. General admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children (12 and under). A special money-saving Family Pass is also available. Families can purchase two adult tickets and three child tickets for only $25 (tickets located in Sections 1, 2, 3 21 & 22), a savings of $6 off the Box Office price. Family Passes are only available at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena Box Office.
