
Osterman K's 18, Shuts Out Comets

Kissimmee, FL - Cat Osterman (5-1) threw a shutout to lift the USSSA Pride (8-5) to a 3-0 win over the NY NJ Comets (2-11) at Osceola County Stadium on Thursday night. The USSSA Pride opened up their home series against the Comets after a slight rain delay and wasted no time, improving to 8-5 on the season.
Kristyn Sandberg's two out double in the third inning scored two runs for the Pride, pacing Osterman and the Pride for the rest of the game.
Ashley Charters would single home Kelsey Bruder in the bottom of the 4th to give the Pride a comfortable 3-0 lead. Osterman racked up 18 strikeouts in the Pride win, tossing seven innings of shutout ball and allowing only two hits.
Olivia Galati (2-5) took the loss for the NY NJ Comets. She lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
