
Osterman Dominates; Tosses 1 Hit Gem

Corpus Christi, FL- Cat Osterman (1-1) pitched a gem on Friday night against the Racers in front of a crowd of 2900 in Corpus Christi. The Racers offense struggled early to get going against Osterman, while the Pride offense exploded for 7 runs on 9 hits.
The Pride got out to a quick lead in the 1st. Charters would score on an RBI single by Charlotte Morgan. Krystyn Sandberg singled pushing Morgan to third and both would come in to score on a 2 RBI double by Kelsey Bruder, making it 3-0.
The Pride struck again in the bottom of the 3rd, when Charlotte Morgan launched a 2 run homerun to left field, scoring Francesca Enea who singled previously. Sandberg would get on once again with a single and be brought immediately in to score on a one out 2 run homerun by Andrea Duran, making it 7-0 Pride through 3 innings.
The Akron Racers would go on to score only one against Cat Osterman and the Pride. Osterman would give up a solo homerun to Sam Marder in the top of the 4th, making it 7-1.
Osterman (1-1) dominated the Racers in the circle for her first win of the 2012 season, striking out 10 and walking one in a 1 hit complete game performance. Lisa Norris (1-1) would get knocked around, giving up 7 runs in 3 innings.
