
Orlando's Marcus Everett Earns Riddell Defensive Player of the Week

Orlando FL - After Saturday evening's loss to the Philadelphia Soul, Orlando Predators JLB Marcus Everett was still able to take home weekly honors. Everett, (6-2, 205lbs) from UCLA, got the Predators off to an early 14-0 lead in their week 3 match up by scoring both of the team's touchdowns during the first half. Everett opened the game with a 22-yard fumble recovery return for a touchdown and came back on the ensuing drive to record his seventh career interception return for a score. Although the Predators started off strong they fell short, ending the game 61-33, their third loss of the season.
Orlando's Arena Football franchise since 1991, the Orlando Predators are heading into their 22nd year in the AFL. In that time, the Predators have advanced to the AFL playoffs a league leading 19 times and advanced to the ArenaBowl seven times winning the championship in 1998 and 2000.
