
Orlando Pride Signs Midfielder Thais Reiss

ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando Pride has inked midfielder Thais Reiss through the remainder of the 2022 NWSL season, it was announced today. Reiss joins the Club after spending the start of the season as a training player with the side.
"Thais has shown a great amount of patience and perseverance over the course of this season, and she has fully earned this contract with the work that she has put in on the training pitch every day," Orlando Pride General Manager Ian Fleming said. "We are excited to have her available to play now and look forward to having another high potential young player make their professional debut as a member of the Pride."
A product out of the University of North Florida (UNF), Reiss joins the Pride following a standout collegiate career where she was named to the ASUN All-Conference First Team four times from 2018-21. The 2020 ASUN Player of the Year, Reiss finished her career with the Ospreys with 73 starts in 77 appearances, scoring 42 goals and adding 18 assists. Her 42 goals remains as second all-time in UNF history.
A native of Brazil, Reiss will occupy an international roster spot for the Pride. Internationally, Reiss has featured with Brazil's U17 and U20 youth national teams, playing in both the 2016 U17 Women's World Cup in Jordan and 2018 U20 World Cup in France.
Orlando returns to the pitch on Sunday evening, traveling to face the Chicago Red Stars in a 6 p.m. ET kickoff. The match from SeatGeek Stadium will stream in the US on Paramount+ and internationally on Twitch.
