ORLANDO - Feb. 27, 2015 - In recognition of the National Education Association's Read Across America Day, the Orlando Predators took time away from the field on Friday to visit to the students at Sunrise Elementary School in Deltona, Florida.

Head Coach Rob Keefe, quarterback Randy Hippeard and wide receiver Justin Hilton were all in attendance as the group visited each classroom and read to students the classic Dr. Seuss book, Oh, the Places You'll Go.

"It was such an honor to go to Sunrise Elementary and take part in this great event," said Head Coach Rob Keefe. "Not only is it our civic duty to give back to the community, but we also want to inspire.

"We had so much fun interacting with the kids. Any day that we have a chance to help motivate youth is an awesome day. The message in today's book focused on how to overcome obstacles and how one must continue to forge ahead, no matter the circumstance. It was a great message for a great event."

Now in its 18th year, the Read Across America program focuses on motivating children and teens to read through events, partnerships, and reading resources. Although Read Across America Day is officially scheduled for Monday, March 2, the Orlando Predators paid an early visit to Sunrise due to the school's standardized testing schedule.

The Orlando Predators 2015 season opener against the Philadelphia Soul is scheduled for 7:00pm on Sunday, March 29 at the Amway Center in downtown Orlando. Tickets are available for purchase by calling 844-455-PRED (7733).
