Orlando Predators News Release
ORLANDO - The Orlando Predators completed a trade with the Cleveland Gladiators Monday to acquire veteran offensive lineman Robert "RJ" Bibbs in exchange for the fifth overall waiver claim pick. Bibbs enters his fourth season in the Arena Football League.
"We are very excited to add a versatile offensive lineman with Arena Football experience and a great attitude," said Head Coach Rob Keefe. "We look forward to getting him into camp and seeing what he can do."
Bibbs was originally acquired by Cleveland this offseason after spending the 2015 season with the New Orleans VooDoo, where he started nine games for the team at center. He played his first two seasons in the Arena Football League with the Jacksonville Sharks, seeing action at both fullback and center.
At native of Pleasant Grove, Alabama, Bibbs played collegiately at Division II Miles College, where he was selected to the Division II/III All-American Bowl All-Star Game following his senior season.
Orlando also placed two more of its players on the Other League Exempt List who signed contracts with Canadian Football League teams. Defensive back Nick Taylor inked a deal with the Ottawa REDBLACKS, while offensive lineman Nate Isles joined the Montreal Alouettes.
