Orlando, FL – The Orlando Magic have signed Brevard Blue Ducks player Ousmane Cisse, General Manager John Gabriel announced today.

The 6’9”, 250-pound forward/center from St. Jude High School in Montgomery, Alabama joined the Blue Ducks the second half of the season after being picked up from the Adirondack Wildcats.

Cisse played in 10 games for the Blue Ducks, averaging 12.8 PPG and 8.2 RPG. He also had 40 blocked shots for Brevard, including a season-high 12 on June 18th, against his former team in Adirondack.

The league leader in blocked shots (3.0) per game, Cisse was named to the 2003 USBL “All Rookie Team.”

Upon completion of the USBL season, he played for the Orlando Magic in the 2003 Pepsi Orlando Pro Summer League and impressed the Magic staff with his athleticism.

“We are extremely happy for Ousmane,” said Blue Ducks President, Mike Richman. “He’s not only terrific on the court, he’s one of the nicest persons you’d ever meet off the court. We wish him all the luck and success in the world.”
