
Orlando City SC Waives Gustavo and Akeil Barrett

ORLANDO - February 12, 2015 - Orlando City Soccer Club announced today that the Club has waived Gustavo and Akeil Barrett.
Barrett was originally drafted by Orlando City as the 25th pick in the Major League Soccer (MLS) SuperDraft after a four-year collegiate career with the University of Akron and the University of Tulsa.
The Brazilian defender, Gustavo, also joined City in January, after stints with various clubs in Brazil.
The Lions' roster now stands at 28 players heading into the team's inaugural season, with the first game kicking off at the Orlando Citrus Bowl against New York City FC on March 8, 2015 at 5:00 p.m.
Orlando City will host several events leading up to March 8 as part of Operation #FillTheBowl. Admission to many of these events includes a ticket to the historic first game.
