ORLANDO, Fla. - Orlando City Foundation and the City of Orlando, District 5, Commissioner Hill's Office have teamed up again for the Annual Turkey Giveaway, presented by Publix on Monday, Nov. 22 at Exploria Stadium. The yearly event will give back to the Parramore community, the same neighborhood that serves as the home of both Orlando City SC of Major League Soccer and Orlando Pride of the National Women's Soccer League.

The event will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Exploria Stadium with packages available on a first-come, first-serve basis while supplies last.

"We are thrilled to continue our tradition of inviting our neighbors into our home ahead of the holiday season to help provide a Thanksgiving meal," said Kay Rawlins, president of the Orlando City Foundation. "A huge thank you to all our partners, staff and volunteers who have helped to not only continue this annual event, but expand on it even more to help more families in our community."

Led by volunteers from District 5 Commissioner Regina Hill's office, Orlando City and Pride front office, the Orlando City Foundation, the Club's players and Club partners, the giveaway will provide 600 turkeys to District 5 residents, with those not receiving a turkey set to receive a $25 Publix gift card to purchase one of their own.

"Just recently being re-elected as City Commissioner, I am again excited to continue the work before me to serve the constituents and residents of District 5," Commissioner Hill said. "With the Thanksgiving holiday a few days away, I am proud to have the opportunity to provide many families with a meal on their tables to enjoy without the stress of whether they will eat or not. Thank you to our partners who helped to make this possible."

"As a food retailer, Publix takes pride in its ability to give back to the communities we serve and help alleviate hunger," Chris Norberg, Community Relations Manager at Publix said. "That's why Publix has donated millions of pounds of food to local food banks and why our associates have worked countless volunteer hours with these organizations over the years."

The event is made possible through contributions from District 5 Commissioner Regina Hill, the Orlando City Foundation, players from both City and the Pride, as well as Club partners Publix, Pepsi, Orlando Health, Frito Lay, Spice World, Rasmussen University and The Promotions Department.
