Orange County Gladiators Announce Aquisition Of NBA Veteran

Aliso Viejo, CA. The ABA Orange County Gladiators announced the signing of NBA veteran power forward Tony Farmer (6'1", 245 lbs) as the first player acquisition for the expansion team that begins play in November. Farmer's NBA experience includes stops with the Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat and Golden State Warroris where he had his most productive season in 1999-2000 averaging 6.3 points and 4.0. rebounds in 16.2 minutes per game over 74 games. His professional career spans over 15 years and also includes stops internationally and in the US.

"We are very fortunate to have a person of Tony's experience and skill as our first acquisition," stated David R. Clarke, President and Owner. "We will look for him to be a major contributor on the court while also leveraging his experience in mentoring the younger players on our roster. In addition to him playing for us, he will also work under Coach Joffe as Assistant Coach and will have input in both basketball and business operations.

Farmer, Coach Joffe, the OC Gladiators dance team and other Gladiator staff will be appearing at the 4th of July celebration at Grand Park in Aliso Viejo between the hours of 6-9pm.
