San Jose Stealth News Release

SAN JOSE - On Saturday Jan. 10 when the San Jose Stealth host the Colorado Mammoth for the Inaugural Season home opener at HP Pavilion at San Jose, fans will not only be treated to a sporting experience that they will never forget, but the first 5,000 fans will receive a commemorative Inaugural Season Stealth Team pennant as well, courtesy of Legend Theatrical.

Even though the Stealth dropped the season opener to the Mammoth in disappointing fashion Friday, Jan. 2 by a score of 17-8, the home opener should prove to be a gritty match that the Stealth will not take lightly.

This week leading up to the game the Stealth are hard at work preparing physically and mentally for the opponent that stands between them and their first win at home and franchise history.

"It is very important for the team to play considerably better than we did last week," said defenseman Jim Moss. "Not only to get the win but to set the tone for what other teams can expect when they come into our house."

Doors open at 6:30 pm for the inaugural opening face-off at 7:30 pm on Saturday, Jan. 10. The opening face-off will be facilitated by the 'Name the team" contest winner, Pierce Stanley, of San Jose.
