The wait is over, and the time is now. The 2012 Newark Bears are ready to step to the plate for the first time this year and you have the opportunity to be right there from the first pitch. Opening night is Thursday May 17 against the Worcester Tornadoes. Welcome new managing coach Ken Oberkfell and a group of feisty Bears, who are ready to take a bite out of a new season.
But, before the first pitch is thrown, join the rest of us outside under the concourse, one hour before the game, for this year's edition of Locker Wars! Six separate lockers will be filled with goodies and treasures, and fans will have the opportunity to look at the lockers before the game, and can make bids on the items before the third inning and continuing for the rest of the night. The Bears will individually auction each locker's content. Participants must be 18 and older. Winners must be present to claim their prizes and for pictures with Bears players and coaches.
