Reading Rockets News Release
Reading, PA - August 24, 2012 - The Reading Rockets have added fourteen players from last Sunday's Open Tryout to the training camp roster. The Rockets kick off their Inaugural Training Camp Friday, August 24th at the Body Zone in Wyomissing, PA. Camp is open to the public, with sessions from 8-10 pm on Friday and 9-11 am and 1-3 pm on Saturday.
"We were very fortunate to have so many talented guys come to our Open Tryout," said Rockets Head Coach Ted Slate. "The level of commitment it takes to play professional lacrosse is tremendous and the pressure is on these guys, and every other guy in camp, to crack the Reading Rockets line up, which makes things difficult for us as coaches to whittle down to the 23 best players."
Invited to camp on Sunday were Ryan Wallace, Michael Adkins, Jimmy Fey, Rob Forster, Josh Kacprazak, Andrew Lazore, Matt Toth, Jason Orlando, Julian Maliszewski, Evan Swiker, Tyler Mattingly, Kacy Small and goaltenders William Hack and Patrick Crosby.Training camp resumes at the Body Zone on September 7th and 8th.
The Rockets open their inaugural season on the road in Trenton on September 14th and return to the Launch Pad on September 29th for the Home Opener to take on the Jacksonville Bullies. Season Tickets are available now at (610) 314-7323 or online at www.rocketslax.com.
