For the first time in 2012 Open Cup play the Charlotte Eagles will take on a team not in Texas. After a 3-0 run in Open Cup play the Eagles will take on MLS' Chivas USA Tuesday night at Titan Stadium at 7:30 PM.
In the midst of a tough USL PRO season the Eagles have found strength in Open Cup play. After their first home victory of the 2012 season just a week ago against the Richmond Kickers the Eagles will focus their attention back on the national tournament.
The Eagles face Chivas USA, a team dealing with much of the same issues the Eagles face in 2012. Sitting in 7th place, in the Western Conference of the MLS, Chivas USA is struggling a bit to put together any kind of positive streaks.
Despite the outcome of Tuesday night's game the Eagles will hurry home to host the LA Blues Thursday night at Charlotte Christian Stadium at 7:00.
