
Ongaro Loaned to Danish Club

EDMONTON, AB - Striker Easton Ongaro has been loaned to Vendsyssel FF, the club announced today.
Vendsyssel FF ("VFF") competes in the Danish 1st Division, the second tier of Danish professional football. The 22-year- old Edmonton native has joined the club in HjÃÆÃ¸rring, Denmark and has been cleared to begin training with the club and is expected to play in VFF's match this Wednesday, October 7.
"We are very excited for Easton and this incredible opportunity he has been given to play in Denmark during our off- season," said FC Edmonton owner Tom Fath. "He will be gaining invaluable international playing experience, and we are confident that he will represent himself, his family, FC Edmonton, the CPL, and all of Canada well, and make us all proud.
Fath continued, "We thank our partners at Vendsyssel for recognizing Easton's talent, and for giving him the chance to play for them. We hope that this is just one of many chances we will get for our players to play internationally, and we are committed to try and see that happen each year."
In two seasons with FC Edmonton, Ongaro has scored a total of 13 goals in 29 appearances for the club in all competitions.
The loan period expires on December 31, and the agreement includes an option for VFF to purchase Ongaro's rights and offer him a playing contract to remain with the club.
