Omar's Cooking and Biased Boarding

Published on February 2, 2004 under NBA G League (G League) News Release

Averaging 9.0 assists per game, Fayetteville point guard Omar Cook is on pace to shatter the NBDL single season total assist mark held by Cory Alexander of Roanoke and his own assist per game record set two seasons ago. At his current pace, Cook would finish with 414 assists in 46 games. Alexander dished out 306 in 50 games last season and Cook averaged 7.8 assists while playing in 35 games in the league's inaugural season.

BIAS ON THE BOARDS

In six games since returning to the Huntsville lineup following a knee injury that caused him to miss 10 games, Flight forward Rodney Bias has collected 60 rebounds to catapult him into the NBDL lead among active players with 8.5 rebounds per game. Bias has collected double-figure rebounds in four of the six games since returning from the injury.
