
Olympiques Honour Jean Poulin

Gatineau, February 21st, 2012- The Gatineau Olympiques will honor their former Hull Olympiques, Jean Poulin during the visit of the Saguenéens of Chicoutimi this Sunday, February 26.
From his last game in the juniors in 1981 until the winter of 1992, Jean hold the teams record for the most games played in the regular season with the franchise (296) that was before Joël Blain in 1992 (301) and Nick Fugère in 2006 (302) passed him. To this day he still holds a team record for over 30 years now, which is the one for the most goals scored at home. He scored 93 times in the Robert-Guertin center during is 5 years with the team. His personal stats in the QMJHL from 1977 to 1981: 362 points in 296 games; his 150 goals allowed him to be the record man for the team until a certain Luc Robitaille passed him in 1986 with 155.
He was the first player of the franchise to have his jersey retired. To official the 1982 tribute, a banner will be added to all the other numbers already retired to this day.
