OL Van Heule Signs to Wichita for 2016

WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita Force announced today that the team has signed OL Ken Van Heule for the upcoming 2016 season.
"I'm very excited to further my football career with the Wichita Force," Van Heule commented on joining the team. "I can't wait to see what great opportunities and what doors open for me being with this organization. I'm very confident with Coach Martinez and the other coaches to make me a better football player and do what it takes to win a championship."
Van Heule will make his debut in the CIF league with the Wichita Force but has spent time with the Colorado Ice (IFL), Omaha Beef (CPIFL), Iowa Barnstormers (IFL) and Richmond Raiders (PIFL).
With the Raiders, Van Heule served as a fullback and assisted the team to an 8-4 regular season record and run to the championship game where the team fell to the Columbus Lions.
A native of Hurst, Texas, Van Heule split his college career with the University of Houston, Cisco College and finished off at Midwestern College. During his senior season at Midwestern, Van Heule started 11 games where he helped the Mustangs led the Lone Star Conference and rank No. 3 in rushing offense with an average of 322.9 yards per game.
At the conclusion of his senior year, Van Heule was poured with awards for his effort on the offensive line including being named on all five All-American teams, second team Daktronics, Inc., third team Associated Press Little All-America, first team Beyond Sports Network, honorable mention Don Hansen and honorable mention D2Football.com. He was also named Lone Star Conference Offensive Lineman of the Year and first team All-Lone Star Conference.
