Oktoberfest German Cup – Charleston's Corporate Challenge

Charleston, SC. After a two year hiatus the Charleston Corporate Challenge Cup is back but the playing field has changed! The Charleston Battery has teamed up with the City of Charleston Department of Recreation to promote fun and fitness via friendly team-building games and competitions during Charleston Oktoberfest 2007 at Blackbaud Stadium, Sunday, October 14 from 1 pm - 5 pm. Teams of friends, colleagues and co-workers will compete for the coveted Oktoberfest German Cup title!

The competition is organized with teams of 4 - 6 players battling it out in 6 varied events; the barrel race, the Stein Relay, the German Egg Toss, Tug of War, Brat Eating Contest and an overall Best Dressed category. All events take place on the soccer field at Blackbaud Stadium during the afternoon of Oktoberfest.

The cost to enter is $120 per team that includes 16 tickets to Oktoberfest, t-shirts and commemorative steins. All proceeds benefit Debi's Kids and The Salvation Army Angel Tree.

Charleston Oktoberfest 2007

Oktoberfest 2007 presented by the Charleston Battery will be held at Blackbaud Stadium, Sunday, October 14 from 1 pm - 5 pm. There will be live German Oompah music by the Gootman Sauerkraut Band plus a team of authentic Oktoberfest German Dancers. Food specials include bratwurst, knockwurst and authentic German beers.

Children's events during the afternoon include mini-soccer games on the stadium field, a Mountain Slide, an inflatable combination game, a Hot-Shot Power-Kick game and face painting.
