OHL to Honour the Memory of Roy Pejcinovski in 2019 Priority Selection

April 5, 2019 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL) News Release

Toronto, ON - The Ontario Hockey League today announced that pick number 74 in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection will be dedicated to the memory of Roy Pejcinovski, the former Don Mills Flyers goaltender who was tragically killed in March, 2018.

"Roy was a very special young man loved by his family, friends, and teammates," said OHL Commissioner David Branch. "The sadness from this devastating loss was shared around the hockey community but in particular among those who played with and against Roy in the 2003-born minor hockey age group. It's only fitting that Roy be remembered among his peers with his name forever listed as a 2019 OHL Priority Selection pick."

Pejcinovski will be selected with the 74th overall pick in the fourth round of Saturday's OHL Priority Selection process in recognition of the jersey number he wore in minor hockey. The Kitchener Rangers, who previously held the 74th pick, will now choose 75th overall, with all subsequent picks adjusted accordingly.

A full order of selection for the 2019 OHL Priority Selection presented by Real Canadian Superstore is now available at ontariohockeyleague.com with 303 picks to be made across 15 rounds beginning at 9:00 am on Saturday April 6.
