Toronto, ON - The Ontario Hockey League season continues through the midway mark of November with 23 games scheduled tonight through Sunday.

Here's a look at what's been happening around the league.

77 OHL PLAYERS INCLUDED ON NHL CENTRAL SCOUTING NOVEMBER 'PLAYERS TO WATCH' LIST:

77 players from the Ontario Hockey League were listed among NHL Central Scouting's November 'Players to Watch' list for the 2017 NHL Draft which takes place June 23-24 in Chicago, Ill. Six OHL skaters received an 'A' rating, including the Hamilton Bulldogs duo of forwards Matthew Strome and MacKenzie Entwistle, Mississauga Steelhead winger Owen Tippett and teammate Nicolas Hague on the blue line, Windsor Spitfires forward Gabriel Vilardi and London Knights winger Alex Formenton. The Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds lead the CHL with eight players included on the rankings while the Owen Sound trail close behind with six and the Guelph Storm, Hamilton Bulldogs, Oshawa Generals, Ottawa 67's and Peterborough Petes come in with five each. OHL SCHEDULE FEATURED FOUR SCHOOL DAY GAMES ON WEDNESDAY:

The OHL featured a quartet of School Day games on Wednesday morning as games in Ottawa, Hamilton, Saginaw and Mississauga all dropped the puck by 11:00am. The four games saw over 36,000 students and faculty members take in OHL action across the league. Wednesday recap

TEAM OHL GRABS 5-2 WIN IN HAMILTON:

OHL Top Scorer Taylor Raddysh of the Erie Otters scored twice and added an assist Monday night in Hamilton to earn Player of the Game honours for Team OHL in Game 4 of the CIBC Canada Russia Series. Soo Greyhounds Zach Senyshyn and Boris Katchouk also scored before Bulldogs' forward Will Bitten added an empty-net goal to secure the win for the home crowd. Michael McNiven of the Owen Sound Attack made 25 saves in goal. The win improved the OHL's all-time record to 23-4-1 in 14 years of the event and served a dose of redemption following a 4-3 loss in North Bay last Thursday. A QMJHL victory on Tuesday night in Chicoutimi clinched the 2016 series for the CHL who lead 10-5 in points heading into Thursday's finale in Baie-Comeau. UNITED STATES DIVISION CAPTURES THIRD ANNUAL 'BATTLE OF THE BORDER' MINOR MIDGET SHOWCASE:

The third annual 'Battle of the Border' Minor Midget Hockey Showcase in partnership with the Ontario Hockey League and the High Performance Hockey League wrapped up on Sunday at Progressive Auto Sales Arena in Sarnia, Ont. The event featured 12 teams from across Ontario, Detroit, and Illinois with players eligible for the 2017 OHL Priority Selection competing before scouts and fans in an 18-game exhibition of Minor Midget talent. The United States Division captured the 'Battle of the Border' title for the third straight year winning 33-21 using a format that awarded three points for a regulation win, two points for a shootout win, and a single point for a shootout loss. PETES' JONATHAN ANG NAMED PIONEER ENERGY OHL PLAYER OF THE WEEK:

Florida Panthers prospect Jonathan Ang of the Peterborough Petes is the Pioneer Energy OHL Player of the Week for the week ending November 13 after scoring four goals and three assists for seven points in four games with a plus-minus rating of plus-4. Ang's seven points led the league in scoring last week as the Petes wrapped up a three-game West Division road trip. Read more

BULLDOGS' MARIAN STUDENIC HEADLINES OHL PLAYS OF THE WEEK:

The eighth edition of the 2016-17 regular season OHL Plays of the Week features the Top-5 goals scored for the week ending November 13. This week's edition features five individual efforts including Sam Miletic of the London Knights splitting the Kingston defense for a pretty goal, Pavel Gogolev of the Peterborough Petes scoring his first career goal against Windsor, the Petes' Adam Timleck with a fancy inside-out move against Niagara, the Knights' Victor Mete showing off his speed against the Frontenacs, and Marian Studenic of the Hamilton Bulldogs driving hard to the net for a goal against Sarnia. The great saves continue across the OHL in the eighth installment of #JanesSaves featuring 12 different goaltenders for the week ending November 13. OHL MILESTONE MOMENTS:

The eighth week of the 2016-17 Ontario Hockey League season ending November 13 featured eight new players celebrating milestone moments with first career OHL goals. Milestones included first goals from Jonne Tammela (Peterborough Petes), Jake Durham (Flint Firebirds), Hakon Nilsen (Flint Firebirds), Robert Proner (Saginaw Spirit), Liam Foudy (London Knights), Semyon Der-Arguchintsev (Peterborough Petes), Connor Corcoran (Windsor Spitfires) and Pavel Gogolev (Peterborough Petes). ROGERS HOMETOWN HOCKEY TOUR STOPS IN WINDSOR:

The Rogers Hometown Hockey Tour stops in Windsor, Ont. this weekend for a time of community fun and excitement. Hosts Ron MacLean and Tara Slone broadcast live from Windsor as fans will enjoy local musicians and catch the Detroit Red Wings take on the Calgary Flames on Sunday at 7:00pm ET on Sportsnet. Owen Sound named one of North America's 'Must Visit Hockey Towns': Travel website expedia.ca released a list of the 22 'Must Visit' Hockey Towns in North America, and The Scenic City was named in the blog as one of the top destinations for the fastest sport on ice. Included amongst NHL centres like Vancouver, Edmonton, Detroit, and Buffalo, Owen Sound was lauded for its feverish fan support and perfect atmosphere for hockey; both inside the rink and on ponds. Spitfires host Teddy Bear Toss on Friday: The Windsor Spitfires host the OHL's first Teddy Bear Toss of 2016-17 on Friday when they play host to the Sarnia Sting. Fans are asked to bring a new teddy bear and toss it onto the ice when the Spits score their first goal. Collected bears will be donated to Sparky's Toy Drive and will be delivered to homes across Windsor & Essex County by Windsor Fire & Rescue.

Storm host 'Paint the Rink Pink' Night on Friday: The Guelph Storm are joining forces with the Canadian Cancer Society for 'Paint the Rink Pink' Night on Friday against the Mississauga Steelheads. Rangers host 7th annual Hockey Day in Rangers Nation: The Kitchener Rangers host the 7th annual Hockey Day in Rangers Nation on Saturday at The Aud. The event aims to engage the region's 10-year-old Major Atom house league players, providing them the opportunity to participate in an authentic Rangers game day practice. Battalion unveil tribute to North Bay Centennials: The North Bay Memorial Gardens boasts a fresh testament to its history as the hockey epicentre of the Gateway to the North. The Battalion and the City of North Bay have partnered to present a renewed Centennials Wall in the northern end of the arena's Chippewa Street concourse. ALUMNI NOTES:

Lindros inducted into Hockey Hall of Fame: Oshawa Generals all-time great Eric Lindros was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame on Tuesday in Toronto, capping an unforgettable hockey career that included accomplishments across several different levels of the sport. Lindros entered the Hall alongside legends Rogie Vachon, Sergei Makarov and the late Pat Quinn, having earned the reputation of being one of the game's most dominant players of all-time. The London, Ont., native played in 760 career NHL games, recording 372 goals, 493 assists and 865 career regular season points. The former Hart Trophy recipient and Olympic Gold Medalist won an OHL title and a Mastercard Memorial Cup championship with Oshawa in 1990. His OHL career spanned parts of three seasons where he recorded 97 goals, 119 assists and 216 points over 95 regular season contests.

OHL graduates frequent NHL leaderboards: The OHL has strong representation amongst the NHL's leading point producers early on this season as six graduates make up the league's top-10 scorers. Mark Scheifele (Winnipeg Jets/Barrie Colts) leads the way with 21 points this season while Steven Stamkos (Tampa Bay Lightning/Sarnia Sting) and Tyler Seguin (Dallas Stars/Plymouth Whalers) trail close behind with 20. Connor McDavid (Edmonton Oilers/Erie Otters) sits in third with 19 points, just ahead of Patrick Kane (Chicago Blackhawks/London Knights) and Alex Galchenyuk (Montreal Canadiens/Sarnia Sting) who each have 18. Between the pipes, Matt Murray (Pittsburgh Penguins/Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds) leads the NHL with a .951 save percentage.

Sproul scores first NHL goal: Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds graduate and former OHL Defenceman of the Year Ryan Sproul scored his first career NHL goal with the Detroit Red Wings on Tuesday. Sproul scored on the power play 7:12 into the third period as the Wings fell 4-3 to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The 23-year-old Sproul is in his fourth full season with the Red Wings organization after spending the past three with the AHL's Grand Rapids Griffins. Sproul played with the Greyhounds from 2010-13, recording 57 goals, 96 assists and 153 points over 172 career regular season OHL contests from the back end. He was Detroit's second round (55th overall) pick in the 2011 NHL Draft.

Berehowsky named head coach of Orlando Solar Bears: Sudbury Wolves associate coach and OHL graduate Drake Berehowsky has accepted a position as head coach of the ECHL's Orlando Solar Bears. Berehowsky coached Orlando during the 2012-13 season and returns to the organization after spending parts of the last two seasons in Sudbury. A 549-game NHL veteran and former OHL and CHL Defenceman of the Year in 1992, Berehowsky played with the Kingston Raiders/Frontenacs and North Bay Centennials from 1989-92. The Toronto native recorded 190 points (41-149-190) over 173 career OHL regular season games on the blue line and was selected by the Toronto Maple Leafs with the 10th overall pick of the 1990 NHL Draft.
