OHL Announces Disciplinary Action
March 16, 2011 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL) News Release
Toronto, ON - The Ontario Hockey League today announced the results of a review of an incident which occurred in a game played in Ottawa on the 11th of March, 2011 involving the 67's and the visiting Niagara IceDogs Hockey Club.
While there was no penalty assessed on the play in question, the League after such review is persuaded that player Tim Billingsley of the Niagara IceDogs checked the Ottawa player Shane Prince in the head, which resulted in a head injury.
Based on such review, it is the position of the League that player Tim Billingsley shall be suspended for ten (10) games commencing on Wednesday, March 16th, 2011.
