OHL Announces 2006-07 League All-Stars

Toronto - The Ontario Hockey League today announced the All-Star Teams for the 2006-07 regular season as selected by OHL general managers.

The London Knights who finished first overall during the regular season and captured the Hamilton Spectator Trophy, were well represented with OHL All-Star selections, including First Team All-Stars Patrick Kane and Steve Mason, along with Third Team All-Stars Sam Gagner and Sergei Kostitsyn.

The Plymouth Whalers had two representatives on the First Team, James Neal and head coach Michael Vellucci.

Centre John Tavares and defenceman Marc Staal and Drew Doughty, were also named to the OHL First Team All-Stars.

Ballots were cast by OHL member team general managers in a two stage process. Players received five points for a first place vote, three points for a second place vote and one point for a third place vote. Managers were not permitted to select from their own hockey club.
