Ohio Machine Sign Six Players

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Machine have signed attackman Turner Evans, midfielders Tate Jozokos and John Kluh, SSDM Greg Galligan, and defensemen Casey Eidenshink and Joe Giardina after drafting them in the first of two MLL Supplemental Drafts. Contract negotiations with the rest of the Machine's supplemental draft picks are ongoing.

"We're very fortunate to have such a talented group come in and want to be part of the Ohio Machine," Machine Head Coach and General Manager Bear Davis said. "We're proud to continue in keeping our tradition of high quality lacrosse in Ohio."

The second overall selection in the 2018 NLL Expansion Draft by the San Diego Seals, Evans comes in with a wealth of experience in both the indoor and outdoor game. Evans started his NLL career by being selected 10th overall of the 2015 NLL Entry Draft by the Toronto Rock and has since appeared in 26 game where he scored 72 points on 20 goals and 52 assists. The Peterborough, Ontario native and Ohio State graduate played his colligate career on the outdoor field where he had an exceptional ride as he produced 97 points in his four-year career that saw his team make it to the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2013 and 2015.

Jozokos graduated from the University of North Carolina in 2017, helping his team secure a National Championship in his junior year. As a senior, he led non-faceoff personal with 40 ground balls while also causing 10 turnovers. He was named a USILA Third-Team All American his sophomore year and was a preseason First-Team All American Selection his junior season before being named to the Inside Lacrosse All-American Team his senior year. He has been noted by his coaches and teammates for his exceptional play of the faceoff wings and his ability to secure ground balls. In 2017 signed with the Atlanta Blaze, and appeared in three games.

Kluh was a four-time captain at Villanova and played for the Wildcats from 2013-2018. With two back-to-back medical redshirt years in 2014 and 2015, Kluh had a collegiate career of ups and downs but remained steady when on the field. Playing in a total of 54 career games, Kluh was named to the All Big East First Team in 2013, All Big East Second Team in 2017 and amassed 60 career point on 38 goals and 22 assists. Kluh was able to help lead Villanova to an NCAA Tournament berth in his senior year before the team eventually fell to Duke 17-11.

A former defensive midfielder for the Georgetown Hoyas, Galligan was a member of the teams' top rope unit that helped capture the Big East title in 2018. Galligan led the team with 22 caused turnovers in his senior year and finished with 21 ground balls in 17 games. A steady presence on the field since his freshman year, Galligan has competed in 54 career games.

A Lehigh University standout, Eidenshink appeared in over 50 career games during his collegiate career as a long stick and close defender for the Mountain Hawks with his strongest campaign taking place his junior year in 2015 where he recorded 50 ground balls and caused 23 turnovers. A captain in his senior season, Eidenshink was a finalist for the Lowes Senior CLASS Award in addition to being named to the All-Patriot League team and Academic All-Patriot League team as well. Since graduation, Eidenshink has transitioned from the playing field to the sidelines where he currently serves as an assistant coach for his alma mater. In 2016 he was picked up by the Charlotte Hounds in the supplemental draft.

The defensive standout at Adelphi, Giardina played in every game of his collegiate career. His senior year, Giardina collected 56 ground balls, caused 30 turnovers, netted two goals and went 7-13 in faceoffs in 52 career games. The Division III Third-Team All-American had an exceptional career where over his last two season he recorded 58 caused turnovers and was a All-Northeast 10 Second Team selection in 2016 while also being an ECAC first-team selection that same year.

The six players will compete for a roster spot at training camp this Spring.
