While the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) offseason occurs, a handful of Sky Blue FC players have made the move overseas to continue developing their game in international competition. Throughout the NWSL offseason, we will keep you updated with the latest news and developments with our players.

Later this week, forward Sam Kerr (who is rehabilitating a left foot injury) and defender Caitlin Foord will find out the winner of the 2015 Australian Female Footballer of the Year award, an honor in which they are both nominees. Kerr, 22, was twice the recipient of Australian U20 Female Footballer of the Year accolades in 2010 and 2014.

In Australia W-League play over the weekend, Sky Blue FC teammates Foord and Nikki Stanton made the start and played the full 90 minutes in an offensive pairing with Sydney FC, eventually falling by a tally of 4-2. Both Foord and Stanton put forth aggressive efforts in the loss.

Sky Blue FC midfielder Sarah Killion made the start and played a full 90 minutes for Adelaide United in W-League action, a match in which her club was defeated by Canberra United, 4-0.

With the results, Perth now sits in seventh place on the Westfield table with a record of 2-4-2 (8 points), and Adelaide is locked in a three-way tie for fourth place with a record 2-3-3 (9 points).
