
Officials Selected For USHL All-Star Game

Chicago, IL - The United States Hockey League announced today the selected on-ice officials for the 2010 USHL All-Star Game, which will take place at the Pepsi Coliseum in Indianapolis, Indiana on Tuesday, January 26th, 2010. Referees Boone Bruggman and Curtis Marouelli along with linesmen Dan Cohen and Judson Ritter will handle the officiating duties for the showcase event.
"Just like the All-Star players, these officials represent some of best in hockey and the USHL," said Scott Brand, USHL Director of Hockey Operations. "The greatest honor is that these gentlemen were selected based on the input of USHL coaches, general managers, fellow officials, and players."
Bruggman is in his third USHL season as a referee. It is the first All-Star Game for the native the Wenatchee, Washington native who also works in the third U.S. professional leagues (IHL, CHL, and SPHL).
Marouelli makes his second straight USHL All-Star Game appearance. He is in his third USHL season while also working as a referee in the ECHL, IHL, and SPHL. The native of Edmonton, Alberta is the nephew of NHL referee Dan Marouelli.
Ritter also makes his second consecutive appearance in the USHL All-Star Game. The third-year linesman is a native of Belvidere, New Jersey and works in five professional leagues (AHL, ECHL, IHL, CHL, and SPHL).
Cohen earns his first USHL All-Star Game selection. The native of Fort Wayne, Indiana is in his second USHL season while also working as a linesman in the AHL, ECHL, IHL, and SPHL.
"The All-Star Game showcases the best of the best and these officials have earned this opportunity based on their performances," said Skip Prince, USHL Commissioner. "The USHL is not only developing top players, but is also becoming the avenue for the best young officials to advance their careers. Congratulations to these young men on their selections."
