Offensive Player of the Year Returns

(Rochester, NY) - The Rochester Lancers today announced the return of the Lancers Offensive Player of the Year, Joey Tavernese. This will be his fourth season in a Lancers uniform.
The 25 year old from Long Island, had a breakout season in 2014-15. In his third year with the team, He finished with 26 goals, 15 assists, and 41 total regular season points, while also adding another seven points in the playoffs.
He finished second in team scoring, only behind Team Captain Mauricio Salles. He earned the Team's Offensive Player of the Year award, as well as a spot on the MASL Team of the Week.
"I knew Joey could be a star in this league," said Doug Miller, Lancers Head Coach. "His hard work pushes our team every day and I couldn't be more excited to have him back."
