Ochoa Heading to UCONN
May 2, 2006 - North American Hockey League (NAHL)
Wichita Falls Wildcats News Release
The Wichita Falls Wildcats are proud to announce that Chris Ochoa has committed to play collegiate hockey for the University of Connecticut Huskies. Ochoa, an integral part of the Wildcats success in the 05-06 season, led the team with 32 goals, and finished third in overall scoring with 55 points.
Colleges have been looking at Ochoa over the past few months, and have been especially impressed with his offensive ability. His speed and natural knack for putting the puck in the net will make him a valuable asset for the Huskies.
"This whole experience has been very exciting, but very nerve racking as well" said Ochoa. "Now that is all over, and it really does feel good now to have a home".
