Oakland Roots Announce 2022 Preseason Schedule

Oakland Roots are set to get preseason games underway on the first weekend in February. Your Roots will take on teams from a variety of leagues and levels to prepare for March 12th and the 2022 regular season kick-off. The preseason schedule includes games against professional sides from USL League One, USL Championship and MLS Next Pro.

"We are excited to get going in 2022," said Roots Technical Director Jordan Ferrell. "Our preseason lines us up against some quality opponents to ensure we are ready for March 12th."

Oakland Roots will also take part in The Desert Showcase in Tucson, Arizona. Tucson will once again be an epicenter for soccer in 2022 as the longest-running and largest preseason event in US Soccer. The Desert Showcase presented by Visit Tucson will bring top professional soccer clubs throughout the United States to Southern Arizona as part of the 12th annual event.

Three Games are open to the Public:

Saturday, Feb. 5th at Academica, Academica Fields - 4 PM kickoff

Sunday, Feb. 20th vs. FC Tulsa in Tucson, Kino N Grandstand - 10:30 AM kickoff

Saturday, Feb. 26th at FC Tucson, Kino N Grandstand - 3 PM kickoff
