"We thank the New York Cosmos and Mercy College for their spirit of generosity and commitment to our mission," said Tom Conklin President & CEO, Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Hudson Valley. "Money raised from this extraordinary community event will be instrumental in continuing to insure that an eligible child will have the opportunity to have their one true most heartfelt wish granted."

Mercy College has donated the playing fields to Make-A-Wish® and the school will also host a celebratory barbeque for all participants at the culmination of the clinics. All children who participate will also receive a complimentary t-shirt from the Cosmos, J.P. Doyle's Restaurant and Public House and the Celtic Corner Pub.

"Our club is really looking forward to hosting these clinics," Cosmos Chief Operating Officer Erik Stover said. "Make-A-Wish is a great organization and we want to help them fill a great wish for someone. Hopefully our fans and the young soccer players in New York can help us reach this goal with Make-A-Wish."
