NWSL Disciplinary Committee Issues Decisions
May 1, 2021 - National Women's Soccer League (NWSL) News Release
CHICAGO - The National Women's Soccer League's Disciplinary Committee has made the following decisions after review of a pair of incidents during league matches.
After review of an incident involving Kansas City NWSL forward Mariana Larroquette that occurred in the 59th minute of the team's April 26 match against the Houston Dash, the Disciplinary Committee determined that Larroquette committed unsportsmanlike conduct detrimental to the league in violation of Section 12.3.6, "Major Game Misconduct", of the League Operations Manual.
As a result, a one-game suspension has been issued to Larroquette. The suspension shall be served on Monday, May 3.
Additionally, after review of an incident that occurred in the 56th minute of the Chicago Red Stars' April 27 match against OL Reign, the Disciplinary Committee has also found Red Stars midfielder Morgan Gautrat in violation of Section 12.3.6, "Major Game Misconduct." Gautrat has been issued a one-game suspension for unsportsmanlike conduct and will serve her suspension during Chicago's match against Portland on Sunday, May 16.
Neither suspension is eligible for appeal.
