Northern Ice to Introduce Themselves

The Northern Ice Women's Professional Football Team will be holding a press conference this Wednesday At Porieo Park in Kenosha at 5pm-7pm. The team will be in full football gear and both players and staff will be available to answer your questions.

This is the Northern Ice first year as a team and they are playing in the Women's Professional Football League (WPFL). Their first game is Saturday, August 2, at noon. WRJN1400 am will broadcast the game. This will be the first time a women's pro football game will ever be broadcasted.

The women of the All American Girls Professional Baseball League will be on hand to pass the torch to the captains of the Northern Ice. Names like Joyce Westerman-Hill and Jacqueline Baumgart-Mattson will exchange baseballs for footballs before the game in opening ceremonies.

John Antaramian mayor of Kenosha will perform the coin toss. The New Day Drum And Bugle Corps. will perform at half-time.
